Rachel and I will be performing inspirational Broadway show tunes at the Brigham Young Historic Park in Salt Lake City (corner of State Street and 2nd Ave/North Temple, just east of the Church Office Building) from 8-9 pm THIS FRIDAY!  Please come!

Ross Boothe will be accompanying us, and Anne-Marie Hildebrandt, a talented musician and songwriter, will be opening the concert for us.

I couldn’t have been happier with how well the “Prayer” album release concert turned out!  Thanks to all of you who attended the near sold-out concert.  I was very touched to see so many wonderful people that I know and love, as well as many others who I didn’t know, who came to show their support.  Thank you!  I felt a strong spirit at the performance, and I hope all of you who attended felt the same.

Rachel and I are now preparing for our “Concert in the Park” performance happening this Friday at the Brigham Young Historic Park in Salt Lake City.  We will be performing some of our favorite Broadway show tunes.  I hope to see many of you there!  It should be a fun evening.

We are also preparing to start rehearsals for the Nauvoo Pageant that will perform in Nauvoo, Illinois, from July 6th – August 3rd.  Participating in this pageant has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life.  It is a powerful theatrical presentation that recounts many true and inspiring events, especially the building of a temple, which took place in Nauvoo, Illinois, among the early members of the LDS Church.  I can’t emphasize enough how strongly I would recommend everyone, no matter your religious beliefs, to make a trip out to historic Nauvoo this summer to see the pageant (I don’t recommend it because I am in it, but because I know you will find the pageant itself to be well worth seeing!).

I hope to see you this Friday at our “Concert in the Park,” and, if you are able, out in Nauvoo, Illinois, this summer!

I am excited to announce that I will be filming another project about Hyrum Smith in August (for those of you who don't know, I portray Hyrum Smith in the film "Joseph Smith The Prophet of the Restoration" produced by the LDS Church). This film will be sold as a DVD, although I don’t know yet when it will be released.  The proceeds will be used to help the Joseph Smith family ancestry search.  I am really looking forward to portraying the prophet Joseph Smith’s brother again, and assisting in this wonderful cause.

(Nothing new this month!)

I recently read in the New Testament the account where Jesus walked along the shores of the Sea of Galilee and called to certain humble fishermen to “Follow me.”  It has always impressed me that the account states that they immediately left their nets and followed him. (Matthew 4:18-22)

I believe that each one of us, at various times in our lives, receive the call from God to change our direction in life.  It can be a very drastic change, and even a painful one.  But while following this path will not be easy, I know that as we immediately heed His call and seek to do His will, we will be blessed.

Thanks again for your support!  May God bless!

Sincerely,

Dallyn Vail Bayles
